Our MES solutions are at the core of daily logistics and light manufacturing operations — and as
an MES Engineer, you help keep them running and improving. Working at the heart of our
operations, you translate real‑world logistics and light‑assembly processes into scalable MES
solutions that enable Flex operations to serve global customers. You combine process insight,
strong technical skills, and a hands on mindset. You don’t just configure systems — you actively
improve how operations work.
Your role:
You will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and support of MES solutions
within complex logistics and light-assembly environments. You’ll work closely with Operations,
Engineering, PSE, IT colleagues and customers to continuously improve processes and system
stability.
The role covers four main areas:
• Operational support (including standby shifts)
• Customer changes and improvements
• Participation in projects
• Platform maintenance and compliance – maintaining and configuring MES related platforms
such as FlexFlow, Brix, FCS and LinkX, ensuring continuous alignment with corporate security and
Segregation of Duties (SoD) standards.
You report to the Team Lead IT Software Applications and become part of a knowledgeable,
collaborative MES & software team.
Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll do:
• Translate operational and customer requirements into clear MES process and application
designs
• Build and configure modular MES processes for logistics and light assembly flows
• Implement changes in MES and integration platforms (including FlexFlow, Brix, FCS and LinkX)
• Execute technical testing for changes and new releases
• Monitor systems, analyze incidents, and resolve problems structurally
• Perform process optimizations together with Engineering and Operations
• Ensure proper functional and technical documentation
• Act as a trusted technical partner for internal stakeholders and customers
What you’ll need to have to be successful and happy in this role:
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or similar
• Solid understanding of logistics and/or light assembly processes
• Experience in a technical design & delivery environment
• Strong SQL skills or the motivation to grow quickly
• Analytical and solution-oriented mindset
• Proactive, service-oriented, and communicative
Our MES landscape:
You’ll work with - and be trained to become expert in - Flex’s MES and VAS applications,
including FlexFlow, Brix, and supporting integration platforms such as FCS (Flex Communication
System) and LinkX.
Our MES solutions are largely workflow driven, where business processes are modeled as
workflows and executed through a combination of application logic and database level
implementations, including stored procedures. The MES environment runs on Microsoft Windows
Server.
What’s in it for you?
• Competitive salary (Job Grade 24–25)
• High-impact role on live operational systems
• Strong team with technical ownership
• Training and growth in modern MES platforms
• International, dynamic working environment
