As a Transport Coordinator you will be working in the field of maintaining and improving efficient international transport logistics processes and networks.
Transport/Carrier management is closely linked to the Control Tower, which provides end-to-end transport and supply chain services to international customers with the aim of controlling and optimizing supply chains (cost, quality, and effectiveness). We are managing 4Pl and 3Pl services.
You are part of the (site) transportation team and report to the Procurement & Transportation Manager.
Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll do:
- Daily follow up shipments with carriers and share status information to customers;
- Daily reporting to internal customer service teams and customers;
- Claims management responsibility within transport team;
- Carrier performance management and reporting;
- Assess and implement transport solutions of (potential) new carriers and customers;
- Participate in projects as transportation representative;
- Testing, implementing, new transport processes and describe processes in SLA/SOP;
- Carrying out improvement projects with carriers;
- Performing costs and benchmark analyses;
- Preparation carrier and customer MBR’s and QBR’s and actively participating in these meetings.
What you’ll need to have to be successful and happy in this role:
- Bachelor/master’s degree in related field such as Supply Chain Management, Transport, Logistics;
- Have at least 5 years work experience in logistics and transport management;
- Demonstrable knowledge with all modes of transport, specific knowledge of air and ocean is an advantage;
- Good knowledge with Transport Management Systems;
- Solid knowledge of carriers analyzing and sourcing;
- Experienced with contract negotiations with carriers and/or other logistics providers;
- Good command of the English and Dutch language;
- Result-oriented, team player with a good sense of initiative and urgencies are some of your characteristics;
- Position is open for 40 hours.
