As Sr. Buyer Services and Materials you are responsible for the sourcing and purchasing of services and materials to support the operational needs of Flex. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining good (internal) customer relationships and will drive cost reduction on a continuous basis.

The Sr. Buyer Services and Materials (1.0 fte) is responsible for the sourcing and purchasing of services and materials to support the operational needs of Flex. The Sr. Buyer needs to review if the quality of contracted services meets the internal and external quality levels. This function will be responsible for establishing and maintaining good (internal) customer relationships and will drive cost reduction on a continuous basis.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
• Develops policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities, able to set best practices and can train users;
• Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures;
• Interface with procurement groups in updating and maintaining company procurement strategies;
• Implement processes with suppliers to improve on time delivery and Purchase Price Variance of products and services;
• Implement Vendor Managed Inventory models;
• Prepares, approves and issues purchase orders and change notices;
• Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy;
• Ensures continuity of consumables supply to support production schedules and balances with achieving inventory level targets;
• Analyzes inventory levels. Supports process to manage excess and obsolete material;
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and implement processes with suppliers to ensure on time delivery and quality of product and services;
• Manage the sourcing of new supply bases for competitive pricing, quality and reliable products
• Keep senior management informed of present/future trends in availability and cost of materials, components and equipment and services.
• Monitors on-time supplier deliveries, inventory turns, MRP execution, Purchase Price Variance, lead-time reduction, supplier performance and cost analysis;
• Act as first point of escalation with suppliers;
• May negotiate major contracts involving large amounts;
• Ensures purchasing compliance to corporate directives.

What you’ll need to have to be successful and happy in this role:
• Bachelor's degree and extensive knowledge of purchasing policies and practices;
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a 3PL company or logistic department;
• Excellent knowledge of procurement processes as well as supporting department processes (Receiving, Accounts Payable, Maintenance, Operations) in order to provide leadership in sourcing the assigned commodities for the site.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP applications, MS Excel and other MS office applications;
• Good communication and negotiation skills;
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
• Pro-active initiator, eager, hands-on mentality, team player;
• Accurate, flexible and able to keep an overview within the dynamics of a logistic environment;
• Independent and professional working standard.

Inventory Analyst

Als Inventory Analyst (1.0 fte) ben je werkzaam binnen het Inventory Management Team en ben je verantwoordelijk voor het beheer van de voorraad door middel van het verwerken, analyseren, corrigeren en rapporteren van cycle count resultaten. Daarnaast transactioneel verwerken van schades en manco’s.
